Rusconi trio en Zaragoza Expo 2008
We met this fantastic trio last august 17th visiting swiss pavilion. The last album is simply delicious, I bought one CD directly to Stefan Rusconi.
Here is a sample. Enjoy ... click!
How can you write about something that you absolutely need to hear? It is like trying to
advertise the taste of strawberries in a newspaper - actually, it amounts to nothing more than a
cliché. Nevertheless, the Rusconi Trio recorded a new jazz album, called "Stop & Go", and
you can certainly talk about it, because it is an excellent, heartfelt, sophisticated album and
you are not even aware that Stefan Rusconi (piano, Plink!), Fabian Gisler (bass, Plank!) or
Claudio Strüby (drums, Plunk!) are not even 30 years old!
Moreover, you can tell about all three using elements of rock, pop and electro to inspire the
music they wrote. However, that would be like trying to advertise the taste of strawberries,
etc. Therefore, this text is going to end by admitting failure to tell about something you
absolutely must hear - with one desperate last attempt to describe the jazz of these three
young men: robust, joyful, breezy, refreshing, amusing like a shower on a warm summer’s
day.
See! It’s not possible. You have to hear it. This you certainly must do.
